Fr. Victor Schreffler

Senior Pastor

Victor and his wife, Rebecca, come to Trinity with 29 years’ experience with the Church of the Nazarene and Free Methodists having been drawn to the Scriptural depth and historical richness of the Anglican liturgy.  He is deeply committed to leading God’s people in worship and reaching others for Christ.

“Prayer has always been foundational for our ministry. ‘Do nothing without prayer’, is a slogan we try to live by.  I believe God is intensely interested in the stuff of our lives and does great things in response to believing prayer.  At its core I believe church a praying community, loving God, caring for each other, and reaching their community with the transforming love of Jesus Christ.”

Victor was ordained transitional deacon in March of 2011, and ordained priest in September of that year. He has a high view of scriptural authority and preaches a gospel of grace.

Rev. Dr. James W. Mariner, Ph.D.

Rev. Nancy Mowry

She is a native Californian who grew in the Sacramento area where she met and married her husband Nelson, who was in the Air Force. They then spent the next 16 years at different assignments overseas and around the country until coming back to retire in Marysville 30 years ago. They have 2 daughters and 3 wonderful grandchildren.

"Throughout my life, the Lord has been an unfailing source of grounding, strength, and comfort. I am in awe at how God reveals Himself to us through His Holy Spirit and scripture. On September 11, 2007, I was privileged to become ordained a deacon in the Anglican Church, and my wish since then is simply to serve Him by being of service to His people here at Trinity."

Rev. Martha MacGregor

She became a member of the Anglican Communion in 1999, attending St. John’s Episcopal Church in Marysville, Ca. In 2006 she made the move to Trinity Anglican Church in Yuba City.

"It is very important to me to be affiliated with a home church that teaches according to the Holy Scriptures, and that has a heart that follows God. I’ve found Trinity Anglican Church embraces the written Word of God, and strives to live by it. Trinity has also given me a wonderful extended family of loving sisters and brothers."

In the secular world, she works for Human Services for Sutter County. Her position allows an opportunity to show Christ’s love in a world where many don’t know Him. It also allows her to offer assistance to her fellow Christians if they need to get through the maze of the various Human Services departments.

She have been married since 1984 to Tom. "He is the love of my life ~ a very caring and funny person." She has one step-daughter, Janet, and three grandchildren, Sarah, Libby and Daniel. She is a native Californian, and a long time resident of Yuba City.

Rev. Sylvia Lamon

She was a founding member of Trinity in August of 2006, and was ordained a deacon on September 11, 2007. Since then she has enjoyed her duties including taking her turn serving at the altar on Sundays, providing prayers for healing at the Sunday service for those needing healing.  Sylvia began an online intercessory prayer ministry in 2013 called Trinity Prayer Team.  When a prayer request is received, she sends out that prayer to the Trinity Prayer Team.  The church has seen many healings leading to the phrase ATM - "Another Trinity Miracle!"

On May 1, 2014 Sylvia was instrumental in starting Trinity Kids, a childrens program on Thursday afternoons.  It serves children in the neighborhood around Trinity Anglican Church as well as children in the parish family and their friends.  There is a faithful group of adults who help run the program, which includes snacks, scripture lessons, art projects, outdoor play, special visitors and movies.

Sylvia also manages the facebook page for Trinity Anglican Church, posting photos and stories of happenings at the church.  Please visit us there to see what is going on at Trinity.
